Krogkbrad

Krogkbrad is a swedish weave that builds on blocks of color. This is a rug that I wove with a linen warp (which you can’t see) and woolen weft (which are the red, gold, and grey yarns).

This rug was very fun to weave as it came out looking as I had hoped and planned.  However, I did discover that I used a wool yarn that was too “soft” and did not wear well.  The rug got old looking very fast and is now relegated to the Goodwill bag.  Next time I will use a wool yarn meant for rugs and not one meant for blankets or knitting sweaters.
